About Us
G.E.M. Helps ministry was established in 1945 by our great aunt and uncle, Mom and Pop Ross. After World War II ended, they traveled to Japan where they spent 25 years starting churches and ministering to the Japanese people. Our grandparents, Bob and Dorothy Dixon continued to minister in Japan for 16 years. They established many relationships that have passed through generations and still stand today. They retired in 1997 and passed the mantle on to us.It's our turn, we have a similar passion to share God's love and message. In the last 10 years, GEM has built a trusted relationship with Upper Room Ministry in Southern India. God has put it on our hearts to partner with Rajan Koilipillai and support his vision to care for the most vulnerable girls in his community. These girls would be street children without the support of Upper Room Ministries and we are dedicated to help support his efforts in making a lasting change in these girl's lifes.
